2009 - October 20, 2009 "It's My Park Day" volunteers eradicated this overgrown ivy, which had begun to invade the cloverleaf beds of the herb garden. Great job! Your valiant efforts made way for the installation of a new design, approved by the horticulture committee. Austin Herb Society accepted the gift of limestone rocks from the Cactus & Succulent Society, glad to recycle what another club replaced. Construction of some new beds along the parking area made with limestone boulders which were donated, and began "destructing" an existing wall. Stacked rock beds allow design changes as more rock become available.

Austin Herb Society members now have a place in the shade to pitch their tent for a Stamping Station during Zilker Garden Festival. The entire Herb Society i very grateful to each one of the volunteers who worked so hard on the clean up. Thanks, Austin Parks Foundation, for "It's My Park Day"
